Online Interior Design Agreement
Thank you for choosing athingforstyling (“we,” “us,” or “Designer”). We’re excited to help you (“you” or “Client”) create a beautiful and personalized space (the “Design Space”). By purchasing a design package, you agree to the terms below.
1. Our Services
- Design Plans: Mood boards, 2D/3D renderings, floor plans, color palettes, furniture layouts, and product recommendations.
- Source List: A list of recommended furniture, décor, and accessories for you to purchase. We do not purchase items for you.
- Communication: Via our platform and email for approvals, feedback, and questions.
The exact services depend on the package you choose at checkout.
2. How It Works
- Project Questionnaire: Provide photos, measurements, budget, and style preferences. Projects start only after this is complete.
- Kick-Off Call: A 30-minute video meeting to discuss your project.
- Design Boards: 2D and/or 3D designs showing recommended layouts, products, and styling.
- Shoppable Links: Links to purchase approved items after project finalization.
- Revision Window: Single-room: 10 business days. Multi-room: 15 business days.
- 7-Day Link Guarantee: Replacement items provided if unavailable within 7 days of final delivery.
3. Project Timeline
Single-room projects usually take 4–5 weeks; multi-room projects 6–7 weeks. Projects begin once the questionnaire is submitted. Packages must be started within 1 year of purchase. Pausing your project incurs a $45 restart fee.
4. Payment
Full payment is due at checkout. Extra services beyond your package are billed at $55/hour. Payments are non-refundable but can be applied to another package or room if requested before the project starts.
5. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate measurements, photos, and information.
- Respond to approvals and feedback within 72 hours.
- Only purchase items after final designs are delivered unless approved otherwise.
6. Intellectual Property
All design materials remain the property of athingforstyling. You may use them for your personal space but may not sell or share for commercial purposes.
7. Media & Marketing
By working with us, you allow athingforstyling to share images of your space (without personal info) for marketing and portfolio purposes.
8. Liability & Warranties
We aim to recommend accurate products and layouts, but colors, sizes, and availability may vary. We are not responsible for damages, personal injury, or third-party product issues. Designs do not guarantee increased home value, resale, or profit.
9. Termination
You may end your project with written notice. Any outstanding fees must be paid. We may end the project if communication lapses, payment is missed, or terms are violated. No refunds are issued once payment is made.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of New York. Disputes will first be addressed via arbitration in New York, under AAA rules.
